R:.W:. Matthew Winters has scheduled his Official Visit to Dunedin Lodge No. 192 for Monday August 20th starting at 7pm. He is looking forward to a great turnout and much fellowship.
The Ritual Books will be open at Clearwater Lodge No. 127 (705 So. Hercules Ave.) on Wednesday August 15th from 7-9pm. A current dues card is required.
Eighteen Masons from District 18 attended the Open Ritual Books tonight at Gulf Beach Lodge. It was a great evening of fellowship and learning enjoyed by all in attendance. District 18 Open Books are held monthly, odd months are at Gulf Beach Lodge on the 4th Wednesday and even months are at Clearwater Lodge on the 3rd Wednesday, times for both are 7-9pm.

The Grand Master of Masons for the State of Florida, M:.W:. John E. Karroum, made his Official Visit to District 18 last night held at the Masonic Home of Florida. Nearly 300 were in attendance for this event. R:.W:. Matt Winters, District Deputy Grand Master for D18 is to be commended for organizing a wonderful event. Along with the Grand Master and elected Grand Lodge officers at the head table were the District Deputy Grand Master, Matt Winters, District Instructor Tom Quay, Sponsoring Lodge Worshipful Master Michael Eaton and the President of the Suncoast Master Mason Association, Bill Sundquist.
17 Masons from throughout District 18 attended the Public Relations and Publicity workshop tonight. Thank you to Gulf Beach Lodge for hosting the event, and R:. W:. Howard Knapp, D 18 Chairman , for putting it on. There was much enthusiasm from those in attendance and we look forward to an active public relations campaign from our lodges.
40 Masons representing all twelve Lodges in District 18 attended a wonderful meeting of the Suncoast Master Mason Association last night. Clearwater Lodge No. 127 was the host Lodge and prepared a wonderful meal. The SMMA took in 3 new members tonight from Gulf Beach Lodge No. 291. In attendance was Past Grand Master, M:.W:. Richard G. Hoover, District Deputy Grand Master, R:.W:. Matt Winters and District Instructor, R:.H:. Tom Quay. The Traveling Gavel is at Gulf Beach Lodge No. 291, the Hot Gavel is at Tampa Bay Lodge No. 252 and the Unity Gavel is at Tarpon Lodge No. 112.
The SMMA Traveling Gavel was spotted on the 4th of July at Gulf Beach Lodge, and is planning on some sunny days at the beach during the summer. Gulf Beach Lodge hopes that one of the other D18 lodges comes out on Thursday September 6th to adopt their summer visitor.

The District Deputy Grand Master, R:.W:. Matt Winters, accompanied by District Instructor, R:.H:. Tom Quay, and the District Committeemen were in attendance at Sutherland Lodge No. 174 last night for the Official Visit. A wonderful BBQ dinner was enjoyed beforehand and a great time was had by all in attendance.
