DDGM Roast Information

This event will be held on Friday May 4th at 7:00PM.  The exact location has not yet been determined but will be decided shortly.  The event will be held at a restaurant TBD somewhere in the area of Hwy 19 and Gulf to Bay Blvd. (I will advise you shortly of the exact location)  The event will be “Dutch Treat” for those attending and beverages and food selections will be made from the menu available at the selected venue.  Due to the nature of the evening it has been requested that this be restricted to an “adults only” event.  In order to provide the venue selcted with an approximate number for the evening it is requested that those planning to attend please RSVP their intent to me prior to May 1st.  (This can either be at:  Charlie Clinker…colonelc1323@tampabay.rr.com or vice.president@suncoastmasons.org)  Please let me know if you require any further information at this time.  I will update this message as soon as the exact location for the event event has been decided.  Thank you.

Presentations at the Masonic Home of Florida

On Sunday, November 20, 2011, the SunCoast Masters and Wardens Association, representing Masonic Districts 20 & 21 the Officers made the following presentations: Certificates to our Administrator, Mrs. Lisa Tsotsos, Mrs. Debra Neveitt, Business Manager, and our Masonic Home Staff. The Association also presented a check in the amount of $2,700.00 to the Masonic Home Residents “Treat Fund”. M.W. Pistol Shoot – A Huge Success!

The SunCoast Masters and Wardens Association, 20th & 21st Masonic Districts, held its Annual Pistol Shoot, for the William S. O’Brien Memorial Scholarship Fund. As provided in the photos all that attended had a great time.

This was an open event. Many certificates were presented for various categories and
top-shooters. A trophy was presented to the top Lodge. This year’s recipient went to Sutherland Lodge No. 174. Congratulations to all the winners! The top winner was the funds collected going toward the Scholarship Fund. Attend our next meeting on November 16, 2011, to be held at Nitram Lodge No. 188, and hear the record-breaking amount!

Golf Tournament – News

The golf tournament director, W. Billy Garrett, Jr. and Co-director, W. David Webster, photographer delivered some random acts of kindness; by providing some certificates of appreciation. This is just a few of the sponsors who have a favorable opinion of what we do in our community and within our fraternity. Fellowship Pool Night

Thursday, September 29, 2011 – Crooked Cue – Members and Friends of the SunCoast Masters and Wardens Association, Masonic Districts 20 & 21 gathered for a little fun & fellowship to enjoy an evening of Pool.

The top three (3) winners received prizes. The following winners were:

1) – R.W. Alan Rosenthal – Cue Stick;
2) – Bro. Bruce Messinger – $25.00 Gift Card to AMC Theater;
3) – R.W. Charles R. “Chas” Jordan, DDGM 21st Masonic District – $10.00 Gift Card

All three (3) are to be congratulated now we know who the “Pool Sharks” really are!

Proceeds benefited the MMRL and the St. Petersburg Order of DeMolay.

Food was donated by W. Billy Garrett, Jr. Brother Matthew Winters, was in charge of the tournament and did an outstanding job! All those that attended had a wonderful evening and was enjoyed by all!

10th Annual Golf Tournament a Great Success!

On September 24, 2011, the Suncoast Masters and Wardens held it’s 10th Annual Golf Tournament at Mainlands Golf Course in Pinellas Park, Florida.  There were over eighteen teams, multiple hole and event sponsorships, and all around a great time had by all who participated.  Here is a list of the brothers and participants who won various contests:

There were no winners for the 30 foot or 50 foot Grand Prize!

Team Winners

1st Place – All R’s Pest Management (14 under par)

2nd Place - Sutherland Lodge No. 174 Team#3 (10 under par)

3rd Place - Clearwater Lodge No. 127 Team#2 (10 under par)

(Tie for 2nd place was determined by the number 1 handicap hole).

Goodie bags were given to all players.  Hole in one opportunities were available on selected holes; with great prizes available.  Other prizes for winners were presented and random selected prizes to those present.  It was a great day by all who attended.  The biggest winners, however, were our residents of the Masonic Home, who will receive the proceeds!

Let’s all thank W:. Billy Garrett, Jr., the Golf Tournament Director, and W:. David Websiter, Co-Director for their hard work in putting this event on!

Golf Tournament Deadline Extended!!

For all the procrastinators out there… The deadline for playing and sponsoring a hole has been extended!  The absolute deadline is NOW Monday, September 19, 2011.

For those that are trying to fill vacancies, get that “ringer”, or whatever let’s GO!  There are openings available!

More information will be available after the extended deadline!  I can tell you this… It will be a GREAT AND ENJOYABLE DAY!
